Terms of use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of websites, forms, and related online services operated by or on behalf of the Safrochain Foundation ("Foundation", "we", "us"). By accessing or using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the services.
1. Services and eligibility
We provide informational content, public application and status forms, and authenticated portals for approved participants (for example ambassadors and foundation staff). You must be legally able to enter contracts in your jurisdiction and at least the minimum age required in your region to use the services where personal data is collected.
2. Accounts and security
Where we issue credentials or magic links, you are responsible for safeguarding them and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Violate applicable law or infringe others' rights.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, data, or accounts.
- Introduce malware, overload infrastructure, or scrape content in a way that harms service availability.
- Misrepresent your identity, affiliation, or eligibility in any application or portal submission.
4. Applications and program participation
Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance. Program-specific rules—including the Ambassador program agreement and Ambassador role & conduct policy—apply in addition to these Terms when you participate in a Foundation program.
5. Intellectual property
The Foundation and its licensors retain rights in branding, logos, documentation, and site content except where open-source or third-party licenses apply. You receive a limited, non-exclusive license to access content for personal or internal business use in connection with permitted program activities, not for resale or misleading derivative branding.
6. Third-party links and integrations
Our services may link to third-party sites or wallets. We are not responsible for third-party terms or practices. Use of third-party tools is at your own risk.
7. Disclaimers
Services are provided "as is" and "as available" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Foundation and its contributors shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the services. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the services shall not exceed the greater of (a) one hundred (100) US dollars or (b) the amounts you paid us specifically for the disputed service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, if any.
9. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify the Foundation and its affiliates, directors, and volunteers against claims arising from your misuse of the services, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights, subject to applicable law.
10. Changes and termination
We may modify these Terms or discontinue features. We will post updates on this site where practicable. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We may suspend or terminate access for conduct that risks the community or the integrity of our programs.
11. Governing law and disputes
Unless mandatory local law requires otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Foundation is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts in that jurisdiction shall have exclusive venue, except where you have non-waivable rights as a consumer.
